Colour changes
Colour changes following chemical ageing of 1:1 mixture of yellow cadmium with
lead white, consequent stages at equal time intervals. The leftmost sample corresponds
to a fresh mixture, the rightmost to the mixture aged to the thermodynamic equilibrium limit -- the point at which the pigments stop interacting with each other (image: arXiv.org/abs/physics/0505037).
